MUSLIM WOMEN - IN THEIR OWN WORDS
What does a Muslim woman look like? Where does she come from and could she be like me or are we vastly different? The oppressed Muslim woman who needs saving is a common trope, but what is her own story and how can we connect with Muslim womens’ authentic voice and self-conceptualization? What are common misconceptions and perspectives?
Join Behold. Her for an honest and nuanced conversation with Muslim women, and take some time to peel back the layers of stereotypes and misconceptions about Muslim women. There are so many of us who just don't know what goes on behind the scenes, behind the hijab, behind our assumptions. Women of Muslim and non-Muslim backgrounds are welcome to attend so we can all hear, share, and ask questions in a positive and encouraging environment.
