Cutting Cords

  • Latela Art Gallery Washington, D.C. (map)

'You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with' - Jim Rohn

What do your relationships say about you? Are they representative of who you are, what you believe in, or the balance you seek to maintain? Do we truly listen to our inner selves and follow our intuition when reflecting on our relationships? How often do we reject intuitive feelings in order to be polite or not hurt someone's feelings? How can we become reborn to find the circle that is most genuine to ourselves?

BEHOLD.HER is honored to host another portrait happy hour, but this time in the morning with Marta! Join us at Latela Art Gallery for brunchy bites with Manos de Maiz. We'll be serving some strong dranks with BYOCocktail (yes ladies, 15% alcohol in one cute bottle). Grab your seat and take a journey with us and new lady friends. Our topic for the evening will be based about cutting cords with unhealthy relationships with our friends and why we find it so difficult to separate ourselves from those that might be bringing us down. The discussion will then lead into a one-on-one portrait session with photographer Leah Beilhart.

A percentage of ticket proceeds will go to VEToga. VETOGA’s mission is to provide yoga, meditation, and healing arts to military, veterans, their families, and communities. We accomplish this by holding free monthly yoga classes, events, and veteran-specific 200-Hour Teacher Trainings throughout the year. The Latela Art Gallery mission was built on Dharma Yoga teachings and thus, their companies energies are very much aligned.
